Hunmanby sands is a little known beach in North Yorkshire.
We went there at the weekend to find that there was precious little sand, just a clay bed for the beach. Apparently at the full moon all of the sand is washed out to sea and a few days later it is washed back on again.
This shot shows how the coastal erosion is affecting the area, you can see what little amount of cliff there is left. Great chunks of clay were lying on the beach that had just been washed from the cliff, soon there will be no cliff left.
Thanks for looking and for your comments on my foray into the arty world, all are much appreciated.
