From my session with the dissected chain saw.
The oil can, meter box and drill all belonged to my Dad.
I made the wooden base from old fence panels.

An HDR image, 3 frames 1 stop apart, combined in Lightroom.
Lit by daylight camera left.
Finished in Photoshop with a tidy up crop, levels and sharpening, nothing added or taken away (apart from the cropped bits Wink ).

Thanks for dropping by.
Constructive critique and mods welcome.
Stay safe everyone.

I love the oil can.
I don't know what half the tools in my garage are -
maybe a still life is the answer!

Thanks all.
I bet most Dads had a hand drill like this, I remember my Dad using this one many, many times, it makes a wonderful sound as the handle turns.
There you go Rob, a still life in the making and a great discovery too.
Kate, you need to go rummaging in that there garage, you never know what treasures lay in wait.

Kristina and David, your User Awards are very much appreciated, many thanks.

Great image and I have to say I still have a hand drill that I still use. It's a lot quicker at times and the battery never needs charging.
Another wonderful still life Janet.

Another excellent tools still-life, Janet 😃👍 I can remember my father having a drill like that, and using it myself - how much easier it was when purchasing a Black & Decker electric drill! 😁

An oilcan like that deserves an oily rag...a bit horse & carriage-like.
I remember my old man using a drill identical to that, and can still hear the curses coming from his shed when things weren't going as they should when he was working in there...Wink
