Colonel Hathi March

By kuipje
Taken in Gaia Zoo in Kerkrade (province of Limburg, Netherlands)
A very nice Zoo in the hilly country side. The rest of Holland is flat like a penny.
Most of the animals have space and not have to live in "cages".
All comments/advise/tips always welcome

V2 is original

Title song "Colonel Hathi Elephant March" from Jungle book

Very good shot. Looks like theyre having a discussion about football.

Mods loaded, mod 2 is a little fun.

Technically well done. Ideally a viewpoint with the animals heading three quaters towards the camera rather than away, but obviously not possible at that time.

Hello Willie Thanks for your mod.
Now that I look to this picture again I think I did a bit to much. It's seems a bit to hard, the original was a bit soft. Have to find some way in the middle, i think.
I not much ( I mean not at all) of a football fan, i did prefer basketball. We saw the whole last serie of plays with Michael Jordan. "Those where the days, my friend, we thought they never end"

Thanks Paul for your comment.
Well, the true is that they were looking at us, but when I asked them if they would smile, they took off.Smile
In the zoo, it seems, all animals had a instruction that if they saw us they turn around. We saw rarely a animal facing us.
C'est la vie as they say in Gaia Zoo

Of course, a frontal shot would be likely to be better, but yo uare often stuck with what yo ucan see from where you can get to...

I like what you've done about the log in V1: all I can suggest is a crop to reduce the space a fraction on the left, and deepen the midtones.
