Cross polarization of plastics, forks, spoons, and knives.

Placing plastic objects between two polarisers to reveal stress patterns within the plastic.

Polarizing gel placed on a light box, plastic cultery placed on top and a polarizing filter on the lens.

You can get a similar effect usings a laptop /lcd mointor instead of a light box and polarizing gel. Just set the background on the desktop to grey.

A nice shot taken really well. To be completely honest, I think you've got a good thing here and, apart from suggesting that you experiment with different compositions etc. I can't really offer any in depth critique.

The only thing I would suggest is maybe a crop of the right hand side? It seems to be darker than the rest of the image. Then again, you'd be cropping off some interesting detail so I suppose it's up to personal preference Smile

Thanks for the welcome. I didn't mean to put the photo in the critique gallery in the 1st place, to be fair i'm not sure how i did it :-S. I've added some extra detail in the description. I hope this helps.

Excellent technical image of it's type. No criticisms as such - just a whole host of possible compositions using more, or possibly less pieces.
