Colourful delights in Morecambe Bay

By Kaxxie
Hi everyone

I thought Id give you all a rest from deer, stags and Bushy Park images. Although I did go there yesterday as I had to drive past. Funnily enough my camera just happened to be in the boot of my car too. 😂😂😂😂 I resisted the bacon buns though. 😉

I took these images in Morecambe back in July. There was a small wild flower area along the promenade. The bees loved it. We really should have more of these areas.

Thank you all for your votes and kind comments on my deer images and to
Geoff (simmo73), Dave (HobbitDave), Alan (af1), Len (Len1950), Dave (doverpic) and Lillian (Lillian) for their precious UAs. I really appreciate you all.

Take care

Karen

Hello Karen! Lovely wild meadow captures and yes, councils are doing more. They tend to do the verges here but some people complain because to manage them they churn the verge up to reseed. The beautiful wildflower carpet is more than worth it!

Great colour and DoF in your images.

Love to see these wildflowers, two delightful captures here, Karen, slightly favouring the lead, showing more of those blue flowers 😃👍🏻

Very good to see, Karen, I think they (most councils) are doing more for this. Some verges under the drystone walls here get left, and the nice council chap who cuts the remainder was happy to leave a big patch of nettles with caterpillars on it last year. Good for the tortoiseshell butterflies 👌 I love to see some huge bruiser of a council mowing guy, with loads of tattoos and gold chains and a punk haircut saying cool idea, man, I love the butterflies! Ill go round the nettles 😀 A heart of gold x

What a lovely wild flower meadow you have captured, and I can imagine the buzz of the bees, as they go about business. Glorious colours in such a small area, nature doing it best to cheer us up!

Beautiful pair of images Karen, the farmers have been sowing them on the edge of the fields near us, summer had a row of wild poppies and camomile, the smell was lovely!....and so pretty.
