Another one with a story I’m afraid.
In the 1970s Idi Amin in Uganda took over a lodge called Pakuba in Murchison Falls National Park as his own personal luxury lodge. Following his overthrow it was allowed to fall into ruins. After watching the eclipse in 2013 in Gulu we went to find it and have a look at it. It was a wreck but we were able to navigate a bumpy track that surrounds it when Jackie pointed and said, quietly but urgently, ‘leopard!’. Sure enough looking out from a balcony, or possibly an upstairs room, was a leopard. He had seen us before my eagle eyed wife saw him.

A great, ambush image Mike.
It's a good thing that Jackie was alert.

Apparently after Idi Amin, the leopard took it over as his own personal lodge. One of the beauties of this capture is it does have a story to go with it.

Looking ready to pounce. I think its eyes are as good as Jackie's. Great image and story.

A good spot from Jackie. Not something you come across every day. I like the story's. Makes the image become more alive. Debs
