Comet 29/03/2013

By Irishkate
Didn't even know there was to be a sighting of a Comet tonight - my husband suddenly opened the curtains
when something jolted his memory and there it was dropping out of sight.
Rushed out, no tripod and this was my best shot.
I cloned away some branches but thought the TV ariel was interesting and wondered what the skyline will look like next time this comet comes close to earth!
Hoping to see some other good images taken with better cameras.
Many thanks for vs & cs for Tulips Watercolour - as expected there were interesting comments re photography
and art crossover.
Have a lovely Easter everybody.
V2 - a different edit of same image - best ignored now that I see it here!

Clever you, Kate: I had heard about this one but had thought we'd not see it without a telescope.
It's not due to return until all of us and many succeeding generations are long gone, I believe.
