Concentration

Taken during the German National Rhythmic Gymnastics competition held in Düsseldorf, Germany. This gymnast goes through her clubs discipline. It never fails to amaze me the , discipline, determination and unending hard work that these young gymnasts put in to this beautiful sport. I can sincerely recommend any one who likes a photographic challenge to try this sport. One word of advice though, ask for permission first and if possible get it in writing or proper accreditation. Otherwise you may end up having to answer some awkward questions.

Just love this - even the flowers in the background don't distract from her lovely little face...

A superb capture of the action and of the elegance and grace of the sport. I would not have thought about asking permission to photograph at a public event like this so thank you for the advice.

Melanie, due to the fact that you're a woman. I think you'd have no problems shooting an event like this. If you get a chance to shoot a Rhythmic Gymnastics event....then do so. Take fast lenses , no smaller than 2.8......using a flash will get you ejected if you don't heed the warnings.
