Connaught Waters

By SlowSong
Went out yesterday to see if I could catch some snow but it was too warm and this is all that was left. Waterlogged fields and flooded paths and forest. Squelch, squelch.

The 'squelchiness' of it still makes for a great image, Chris. Carol

About same here, Chris, but today was very frosty with all the trees and foliage an a white covering. A fine capture despite your disappointment with good reflections Smile

Always a magical place, Chris, like the textures and relections in the water! Do you like what they've done there with all the decking at the farthest end? I think it's lost some of it's natural beauty.

Strong shapes and a contrasty mono with the snow dusting, looks good Chris. At least you don't need a gang plank to get out of your car in the car park now!!

Clever observation/processing, the whiteness marks the border between reality and reflection.
Cropping off the top, down to the top edge of the water, is interesting...

That's different but certainly doesn't look squelchy! Love it!

Perfectly suited to mono. I like the way you have concentrated on the water and reflections, and I particularly like the V's formed by the little bits of snow that were left.
