Akrotiri Village is near my hometown (Limassol). It has a wild and beautiful seashore but it is very difficult to be there due to restrictions set by the UK government , that still occupies that area. So .. no roads and no lights. In order to get to the shore you have to walk for more almost an hour.I made the trip several times hoping for a great sky but after several tries I gave up and decided to substitute the empty sky with myself

I am waiting for the right conditions and I will try a capture of the milky way here because it is a very remote and low light pollution area.
I took with me the Nikkor 16-35mm f/4 because lens plus filters are way more easy to curry than the 14-24 f/2.8 plus the heavy NiSi filter system.
Nikon D800 plus Nikkor 16-35mm f/2/8 - exposure 65 seconds f/16 at ISO 100 with the 10 stop plus the 3 stop grad soft ND.
Basic post process in PS6. a High pass filter was selectively brushed onto the middle foreground to add some pop and enhance the highlights and textures of the sand.
