Copper Serpents 1

By woolybill1
Inside the locomotive shed at Beamish Museum. One Sunday when there were no locomotives under steam one of the staff, perceiving that our cameras looked unemployed, invited us into the shed for a closer look at the engines that normally run from Rowley Station. I trained my lens on some exterior oil pipes, as I so often do.

See HERE for a further explanation of the scenario.

Thanks for all visits, votes and comments over the weekend, and to Alan, Oliver and Daryl who placed awards on That Would Be Telling! All appreciated.

Reminds me of the genius level of the game where you have to get a hoop from one end of a metal thread to the other without coming in contact with it. A buzzer announces your failure...

I take it there's some reason why it's shaped like that.

Artistic licence on the part of the fitter?

Love your serpents, Bill! Great close-up work, looking good in mono 👍 I had a day out to York on 30th January to visit the NRM - the highlight being Stephenson's original 'Rocket' currently being exhibited. Inspired by your good self, I went in close on some of the bits & pieces of the steam locos, which may get an airing on here... 😀
