Stunning shot.

There you go, a cliche comment to go with the cliche landscape.

Seriously though, it is a beautiful shot with an excellent composition.

I'd be tempted to leave it as it is Mike, I think the lens flare helps in this case. i have done a very quick mod to show one possible way of getting rid of it though, by cloning from the tuft further on the right.

I like this, I really do. Very well taken and sweet presentation. The mist is absolutely gorgeous and really adds to the overall atmosphere for me. So what if its cliched, so much is.

I have uploaded a mod with the green flare removed and a few extra bits too, hope you don;t mind Wink

Thanks for the mod. I think you're right...the green acts like a full-stop to the snaking beam across the fog. You can tell how limited my photoshop skills are because I would have never though of cloning from another bush...Duh!

I hadn't noticed the puppies, but now you've highlighted them they're really obvious...must be a trick of the light.

I don't think its cliched, i'd be delighted to bag a shot like this, its beautiful. Each shot is individual and there will never be another shot the same, so be proud of it Smile

sod em if they dont like it, you can like it all , all styles and diciplines, there is a time to be arty, and when faced with a view like this, you got to do it, you just have to take it,

Ignore the drivel on the forums, take what you like, when you like, how you like, thats all that matters. This is superb and well worth getting out there for. Smile

Not cliched for me. I spent nearly a year away from photography due to leg injuries. I sat for hours looking at landscapes like this itching to get out there. As soon as I was able, I went to Northumberland and photographed the castles at sunrise and sunset. Wasn't thinking about cliched images then!
