Cornish Contours ...

By sut68
One from Monday evening down at Bottallack with Fran. We were originally planning on going to Priest's Cove again but decided last minute to make the short trip here. The winds from the weekend had died down, so the tide was a little more benign that I would've liked so out came the 'BIG Stopper' to slow things down a little more and offset the smooth water with the jagged rocks.

Unbeknown to us both, DarylH was up on the cliffs above shooting. Had we known it was you Daryl we would've stopped a little longer to chat ... honest!!!

Right, I had written a bigger description but for some strange reason my browser refreshed and I lost it ... will update the exif data later, when I get home. Thought I'd chance a mono for a change Wink

Cheers for now,
Paul

I have been waiting to see this one for obvious reasons.
Another stunner Paul and well worth being in that precarious location.
Looks particularly good in mono.

Cheers Daryl, may post the colour one as a separate upload, just felt like a change with this one though.

Sorry we didn't get chance to chat, maybe next time!!!

That's just beautiful, Paul!

And very sneaky - there was I thinking you'd be waiting for this evening!

I know the place well, and you've really caught it in all its compositional glory. Great choice to use mono, too!

Cheers

Nice work Paul. The mono strips away all distraction and allows you to concentrate on the composition. Those buildings look positively toylike Smile

It works really well in mono, Paul and I bet the colour version isn't too shabby either! Outstanding togging.

An often photographed scene Paul but you've certainly done it justice and the mono works well.

That's a marvellous choice for mono, Paul, it works so well. A great advert of what the BS can do in the right hands. Certainly looks like a precarious location.

Great conversion and like the contrasts between the water and rock Paul. Another effective 10 stopper I would say.
