Cornish Tin Mine

By Matman
Heyup,

Just got back from Cornwall where I was staying with my Brother and his missus for a long weekend. Loads of walking but not much photography as was a social visit.

Took a bit of time to try and capture a tin mine though. Whilst I was there I bumped into another EPZ'r tryin for the same thing...Smile. I am sure he said his name was Julian Day, so hello to you and nice to have met you...Smile

Cheers

Matt

Great part of the country. You have caught some good light here and nice composition.

Great capture, the light looks amazing! im not sure if you could lighten the left hand side somehow, perhaps slanting the grad filters, although i do quite like the effect as it is.

Thanks for the comments guys.

Nick, I must admit i did think about lightening that area but it is as it was so I decided to leave it.

The sunset fizzled into nothing but prior to that the light was good.

Cheers

Thanks guys.

Tepot, thanks for your comment. I have been trying out a different sharpening technique given to me and have wondered that myself. So now that I have had a comment on it I will back off slightly.

Cheers

Some great light you've captured here. So, it fizzled out, I'm used to that lol!
I'm not so keen on the foreground grass on the far left as it catches my eye as i look into the image and onto the mine. This is just my observation but once seen I keep seeing it. Mind you I wish I'd been there to get something in that light.

Hello Matman

Julian Day here, nice to see your shot of Wheal Coates. I went back a few days later with what promised to be another glorious sunset, but yet again that promise failed to materialise.

Lovely light.

I really like the light here. The left hand side might be a bit down, bit not badly. The building is too centre for my liking. How about positioning the build further to the left, that would solve the exposure problem and include more of that great sunset.

Nice image however.
