Coronavirus, bin emptier improvised mask

On a sparsely populated Market Street in Manchester a street cleaner uses makeshift mask made from a piece of cloth in the naive hope that it will protect him.

Indeed, I'm amazed at how many folk leave their noses outside their masks. It's quite surreal, folk wearing plastic gloves on the street blissfully unaware that the virus can live for 3 days on plastic.

There seems to be some sort of logic that gives a magical effect to masks (or scarves). Whilst wiring pics to the paper yesterday a white van man pulls up in front of my car with mask on, windows wound up. He then winds his window down, takes his mask off and starts vaping.
