21 March 2020. Bolton town centre, Lancashire. On the previous night, a few hardy revellers made their way into town to sink their last pints before the closure of all leisure venues was applied due to Covid 19/ Coronavirus. Tonight the bars and clubs were shuttered, only takeaways open, and they were doing very little business. Few people were to be seen, those moving about seemed to be just there to collect takeaway food, but business was slow. This takeaway chef had been pacing the street, his empty shop was getting to him. This picture was taken with him looking into the empty saeting area from the street.
Oh, and before anyone asks yes as a press photographer we are allowed out to work, but maintain sensible distancing.
On top of this, it's been a grim week with a child mirder, and to and the week a gangland feud errupting, probably exarcebated by the situation with Coronavirus.
