I have been sorting through some notes written when experimenting with various processes in Photoshop.

I came across one particular set and didn't have a clue what they were about!!BlushBlush So, I followed the instructions I had written down and this is the result .... and I now know what my notes meant!! I have no recollection of writing them - a senior moment, methinks!!
I know that colour popping isn't everyone's cup of tea but, I quite like the effect when coupled with sepia toning.

The original image, taken whilst walking along a local canal, appeared as the version of a recent upload.

Many thanks for all votes and comments on my 'A Little Shy' upload and to Steve(Stephen_B) for his award - very much appreciated, as always.

I've had a busy day in the garden today and will catch up with EPZ over the next few days.

I hope your week has started well.

There's an element of hand colouring with sepia images I guess.
Weirdly, I've just written a blog (to go up tomorrow) mentioning colour popping and involving pink Grin

I am a fan of what they call colour popping now apparently, and we called selective desat. in my day. As you have shown here it can give another dimension to a photo and it can:
" Accentuate the positive
Eliminate the negative
Latch on to the affirmative
(And doesn't) mess with Mister In-Between."

And the sepia works better here than just black and white. Love it!

I think you held onto the reds and changed the rest to sepia. I think! Must read-up on my PhotoShop manual!
It is different anyway, so full marks for that.

It really works with this image. Still gives age with an extra twist.

Dora that is one of my favourite quotes from a song! If only we all did that! A good verse for life skills.

Yes but it's messing with Mister in between that's the fun part.

It gives the look of those old sepia postcards that used to have painted on bits of colour.
There must be a name for it but I don't know what it is.
Lovely effect Richard.
