'cos it's raining

By aitchbrown
I wrote a wee poem this morning; 'cos it was raining. Then I decided I needed an image to go with it. That took longer than the poem to create; 'cos it was raining.

So: here they are, both; 'cos it is still raining.

Image hand held; as you can see... in the rain!

The poem doesn't have a title:

The soft rain of August
making circles on the pond.
Juicy green grass
draped with necklaces
of perfect rain gems.
Honeysuckle horns
heavy with swag,
their drenched petals
sway and sag.
Spiders sewing,
mending their webs.
Bees humming,
drinking their fill.
A blanket of lush,
promising, teasing,
reaching out
to every tomorrow.
This is my today;
my garden.
My England.
My August.
My rain.
