Nice low angle and lead in. The horizon is curved (I know) but a little perspective adjustment will straighten it.
I see you used multi segment focus....I tend to use spot focus and focus at an interest point between a third and 2 thirds in to the image .
This allows a better focus through the whole of the image and you might lose the softness as you go into the image.
Love this location ---but always seem to git bit around my ankles by sand flies.

Cheers kim, I used my Nikon 25-50mm AIS manual focus lens without changing the focus mode setting, which has mis-led you.It's not the sharpest lens in the box,but renders colour beautifully,I think. Indeed you are correct in saying that focusing at the hyperfocal distance will give the greatest depth of field.
