I really like the setting here, your Christmas cards are sorted Wink
Would have just liked a little more finer detail on the head & eyes though, not easy to get with a head on shot I know.
Good colour & composition.

This is a brilliant shot Sylvia. I am not normally a ' head on ' fan but getting a catchlight in both eyes is a great bonus and brings so much life to the bird. Plumage detail is spot on.
2 Great shots Sylvia.

Two great ones Sylvia, you get such clarity in your shots. Do you process your raw files in Photoshop or the Canon raw converter?

Quite possibly the fattest and the skinniest robins I've ever seen! Smile

Both super shots and beautifully exposed. #1 is the prettier, though it suffers a little from the intrusion of that twig over his breast and the fact that the focus seem to be closer to that twig than the robin itself (though the robin is still pretty sharp and perhaps it's just an illusion because the pine needles have harder edges than the bird's feathers). #2 is punchier for having more contrast and more vivid colours.
