After a couple of hours or so at Villa Carlotta, I walked back up to the hotel and had some lunch, by which time the grey sky and mist had disappeared and the sun had come out. Having visited the delightful Bellagio across the other side of Lake Como on our included boat trip earlier in week, decided to return and spend a bit more time there and hopped onto the ferry. On alighting, I headed right where there were some flower beds and statues aligning the lake side. Trying to think of a title, 'Couples' came to mind, as the statues themselves are of couples, and there are also couples in the backgrounds.

Single Raw images processed in Adobe Camera Raw 7, tweaked in Photomatix Pro 5 and Photoshop Elements 11.

Thanks again to everyone for your votes & comments on my previous uploads, it really is appreciated and encouraging.

I like both. But in V1 the taller figure in the sculpture seems to be watching the retreating couple. Maybe enviously?

Good choice of title given the subject matter: interesting sculptures with a modern styling but looking quite at home in this traditional lakeside setting.

This kind of location has a lovely feel to it, especially when there are not too many tourists. The sculptures, especially V2, are beautiful.
