Photo taken of a wild Coyote at Lake Meade desert bed in Las Vegas, Nevada. I actually followed a pack of 3 Coyotes through the desert. I was attending a Data Center conference in Las Vegas, NV. Every free moment I got away from the seminars and conferences I spent traveling through the desert in search of wildlife. Took shots in and around the Lake Meade and Red Rock Canyon desert areas. Shooting in the desert sure does have some challenges, the sun was so bright and shade was almost non-existent.
A quick story, sometimes you can get so wrapped up in your shoot that you leave your common sense home! During one such shoot in the desert I followed 3 Coyotes into a ravine that was nearly 500 yards away from the cliff where I parked my car. All of a sudden the Coyotes stopped walking and in unison all 3 turned around and looked directly at me, it was those stares that reminded me how stupid I was in putting myself in that position. Thankfully they were just giving me a warning, with somewhat haste I scrambled back up the ravine, got in my car, then said a quick Pryor of thanks!
