Craggy Island!

This is Inis Oirr, or better known to Channel 4 Viewers as Craggy Island as featured in Father Ted. It is easily reached by Ferry from Doolin Point. As this is the closest island to the mainland, you get to spend more time here (if going back on the return ferry), unless you intend to spend a couple of days here, which is highly recommended.

There are a number of historical sites on the island, some dating back to the 10th century which are worth a visit.

are there plenty of places to stay? Or do you just pitch a tent and hope for the best?

There is a small hotel just 5 mins from where this was taken and around 9 B&Bs. I'm sure you can camp here as well!

I've just noticed you've changed your Country to Scotland (or has it always been Scotland? I can't remember!!!)
