Version 1 for me Smile It sums up the whole idea of these ancient on the water homes etc Smile and you get that Highland feel with the mist rising from the loch.

Morning Roy, this is a shot that was on my hit list! It piddled down when I was there though! I think I prefer #2 as it gives more detail in the Crannog.

Very divided on this one. I prefer No 2 because of its increase in detail.

It's a close thing but v2 takes it.

It was like that on Sunday morning too. Smile

A lightened version of V1 for me - will post a mod in a minute.

Great to see you again Roy, before next time can you give me a detailed itinerary, just so we don't bump into you at any of our proposed sunrise locations Wink

EDIT: Mod posted Smile

The mod works but it's still V2 for me. really like the misty , step back in time atmosphere you have created here. Loved your company but see what you mean about the kind of light you seem to attract having spent 2 hours in the freezing cold trying to get a shot on Saturday morning.

Watch out for a pap shot of you , you make a great lead in man,

Thanks for all the tips and technical advice Roy.

regards Mary

Thank you all very much indeed.

Paul - many thanks for the modification ..... I was worried about V1 because I thought it would be a bit light as a thumbnail but as it was straight out of the camera (minus dust bunnies and bouys) I thought I had to put it up. You have made me think again about where to go with it

I have a similar shot - I took it on Sunday morning on our Lonnnnnnnnnng way home, but I think the mist was a little thiner.
