Crazy Horses

By Glostopcat
A set of images of some racehorse sculptures for a Silly Sunday and to mark the start of the National Hunt Festival at Cheltenham this week. These were all taken back in the early autumn when these horse sculptures were dotted around various locations throughout Cheltenham to mark the anniversary of the racecourse. The sculptures were all auctioned off for charity at the end of the year although some were damaged by vandals and had to be removed. V1 was a horse on the roundabout at the top of Montpellier, where the promenade joins up with the A40 to Gloucester

Great collection. I've done pigs in Bath and storks/egrets in Pateley Bridge, and cows somewhere else. Faberge eggs in London at the mo.

Won't the vandals leave anything alone? A lovely set, Ed, and what a great idea to commemorate the anniversary of Cheltenham racecourse. Carol

Great title and a nice set of colourful vibrant images here Ed, I particularly like version four, with the girl covering her face, obviously thought you were a pap.

A great set Ed', and look much like the horses that I usually bet on. Off colour and static!

Fine crisp shots of these artefacts......a great way to advertise the event, Ed. Pity that some were vandalised.....what pleasure these mindless idiots get from such is beyond me.

A lot going on in V4 Ed.
You have the baker in the BG putting his buns in the oven.
The girl on the mobile looking as if she has a bun in the oven.
And the girl with her hand over her face, getting worried about telling her boyfriend that she has a bun in the oven too !!

Where's the Grey Mare's tale???
V6 is grey and has no tail - was Tam O'Shanter riding it over the bridge? Smile
