Crisis of Confidence

By MrsS
Good Evening everyone Smile

Are you sitting comfortably? Then let Chapter Five begin!!! Wink

So, there we were, heading off to Bottallack after my escapades at Porthcurno in the morning. I really was getting VERY cross with myself for my unbelievably strong self-preservation instincts, as I really wanted to overcome the fear of plunging to my death so I could get the shots I really wanted!

Guess what? I was faced with yet another death-defying route down to here!! Well impressed! (NOT!!!) Add that to the fact that Mr (Mountain Goat) Sutton had sprinted off in front, and I was just about ready to throw in the towel! Sad

So - after a temper tantrum and lots of self-pitying petulance, the Boss came to the rescue and not only returned to persuade me to venture over the "bridge", but he was also up for swapping lenses so I could get the image I wanted from the relative safety amongst the rocks Smile

We also spotted someone with loads more sense "up top" with a long lens - wish we'd met BEFORE I ventured down, Daryl, I might have just kept you company and had some time to chat, rather than just a wave in the car park! Grin

The light wasn't with us for too long, and the Lee Big Stopper 10 got a fair amount of use - hope you like this result. I know the Boss has uploaded a mono shot from here, but I'm a pretty colourful kinda gal - so it had to be a colour portraitscape© for me (might have a squarescape© version at some point in the future) Smile

Thanks for your time, have a good evening - just about got week 1 under my belt - won't be long till half-term! Tongue

Cheers!
Fran x

Brave girl!
And worth it, I reckon!

Don't think I've got as low down the cliff as you did Smile

A lovely composition and deftly processed - wouldn't be surprised to find an award heading your way with this one, Fran!
The light in this is really exquisite.

Cheers

I would certainly recommend it, John, great fun to be had! Smile

Funny thing was, Bill, I was fine once I got there, photography has a way to overcome most fears for me - think I'd even brave spiders! Wink

Superb shot Fran, contrast between the sharp rocks and soft sea works well, not to mention the warm light catching the rocks/buildings.
