Crooked House

By woolybill1
After a week in the Peak District largely spent sheltering from showers and occasionally running from rain we returned yesterday with a small handful of pictures. I've only processed a couple (I was out with the band last night) and offer them as suitable for Silly Sunday.

Before anybody thinks of complaining, they are both straight from the camera apart from Levels adjustment and conversion to jpeg with a touch of USM for uploading. They show the cottage opposite ours, viewed through the bottle-glass window in our front door. No need for a Lensbaby Wink

Ha, ha... welcome back Bill! What a great distortion - indeed, who needs a lensbaby! To me it looks like a face - quite a bit scary, a bit funny...

Oh I wish I hadn't opened the second bottle. Sutherland produced the same rain Bill, but we soldier on and find some solace in peering through strange glass lenses at our wet world.

Hah! Great! I didn't know what I was going to see and I've only had a second glass. We've not long had a 7.1 earthquake near here, so that makes it a bit scary too.

A natty idea Bill, and it works well. Glad you got Moira to clean the glass first though Wink

Looks more like a Lens Adolescent with its erratic behaviour Wink Or a poor man's Lensbaby. Brilliantly distorted.

You certainly had crooked neighbours Bill !! At least you had neighbours. There was hardly anyone staying in the ''holiday village'' at Arbroath, and it was murder finding a member of staff to serve at the bar.I actually ended up pouring a pint of Guinness myself. Not so easy as it looks I can tell you !!

Love the distorted effect you've achieved here, who needs a lensbaby when a simple glass bottle will do the trick. With innovation like this Bill you should be on Blue Peter!

And I thought you'd shot them through the bottom of your whisky glass! Two great images, Bill, of this 'crooked house'.

Listening to the news on the B.B.C. in Spain last week I was under the impression that the streets are plagued with wheely bins, no evidence of any here!

Thanks for all the comments Bill . Giving me a great belly laugh over your window image Smile

Thought at first it looked like an Elephant THEN it changed into a prehistoric monster . Goodness only knows what Moira will look like . Can't wait to see xxx .

We had a misty start with cobwebs and raindrops . Now the SUN is shining xx

Very quirky and silly - I want one of these to carry around with me..this is certainly a natural filter if ever I saw one.
