Excellent mono work . I really like the treatment of the foreground bushes and drystone wall.

Find your composition, wait for life to pass through it... Suddenly the whole scene awakens.

Excellent image. The bird just adds a focal point against the empty hillside. Such a peaceful scene.

The crow is surrounded by the telegraph pole and wire - there's no escape.
A clever composition.

Without the crow, a lesser shot.

The bird is such an integral part of this frame Alan.
Wonky pole and wonky lines make me look into this so much harder.
Love your processing.

Nice dof with the inclusion of the post and wire (which most of us avoid!)
Lots of interest in the f/g wall and, fence and plants.

There's something mysterious around there. The crow knows. Lovely work Alan.

Most people "in the know" advocate leaving out such mundane things as telegraph poles and lines, as they "spoil the shot".

You, on the other hand, can include those very same things and make me want to hit you because your image ends up so much more because of them.

*sigh*

As always, I come to see what's happening in the world of EpZ, and leave feeling so much better for seeing imagery like this.

Excellent composition and the treatment on the bushes together with the wonky pole give the impression
of a windy place .

Has an eerie suspensful feel to me , don't know why, a sense that there were people but now only that dark crow.
As others have said a masterpiece.
