Of course I am impressed with your rose - how could I not like it... a wonderful delicate pink perfectly lit rose.
I am equally impressed with your very involved lighting to get the very abstract looking birds eye view of the crystal.
However, forgive me for saying this, I'm not sure about the combination. I feel I would prefer them in two separate images of their own right.

I love it, it is very original. If i was to be critical in any way at all, it would be with the rose not being 'round' to sit in the middle, but thats natures fault, not yours. Nice one.

The effect of the crystal is fantastic.
I'm wondering if a narrower glass/bowl would create a more 3D effect?
Is the rose sitting at bottom of a bowl? Maybe not from your narrative?
I think this is one which can be developed.
Great experiment Ronnie.

Really lovely Ronnie. The light on the crystal is awesome. The rose completes it beautifully.......Sandy

Incredible refractions everywhere-- A most interesting idea-- I am certain I would fail totally but you have made an interesting crystal frame for your beautiful rose!

Very effective result of your experiment though not totally convinced! Think I'm with the idea of 2 images rather than a combination of them. Can we perhaps view the Rose minus anything else as it looks a stunner set against the black?

Excellent experiment Ronnie, and, as my old school reports used to say, very creditable Grin I do like the idea but it took me a while to work out what niggled. There are some lovely blue reflections in the crystal but the flower is pink! A blue rose or pink reflections would pull the two parts of the image together perfectly.

I'm pretty sure it;s safe to breath again Ronnie, beautifully done, the halo of crystal compliments the rose to perfection. How did Jasmine take you cutting the base off her beautiful vase? LOL Wink

Ah, Ronnie, I just read your description about this image. I am totally flattered!

It's a nice result!

What about giving it a go with placing some roses behind the crystal bowl, and shooting it in sunlight. You'll be amazed at the effects that it could create!

This week, I'll upload one a little similar. You'll see what I mean.

Thanks, Ronnie! Smile

The crystal has photogaphed beautifully, Ronnie, love the patterns. Not too sure about the floating pink rose in the centre, though. I was really pleased to see that you had tried this.

I have just read Dave's comment on there being blue more than
picnk in your crystal. That would be from led in the crystal it self surely.
There always seems a blus sparkle comes off the cut facets I have found…….J
