Award Shortlist

I was almost cuckoo myself by the time I'd given up following this fellow around, waiting for him to settle in a clear space. He and another male spent five minutes chasing each other back and forth among the trees bordering the Hide area at my local Nature Reserve. Eventually, this one settled amid the twigs and leaves on top of a Willow Tree close to the Hide. The only way I could get a photograph was to kneel on a bench, lean out of the window with my camera and balance myself at the waist on the ledge. A very uncomfortable and painful position, even for a short time. While I was trying to get a few pictures, he kept calling "Cuckoo." Well, he was right about that!

My thanks to those who left V&Cs on my previous post "Immature Damselfly.) Special mentions to Ron (RonMD) & Steve (sparrowhawk) for their valued Awards.
