Continuing my street walk at night around the City without a tripod...we have a lot of construction going on at present as we are getting a Metro underground railway built ...this part of the construction site has windows ...rather dirty ones I must say... so passers by can see the amused us for hours taking photos of people looking down....the colour version as well
Shot with my new 35mm Z lens for the Nikon Z7 ...handheld

I like both shots, but for me the colour has so much more; colours against black, I like, and that's a big part of night shooting. That's quite a camera you have there, Colleen; congratulations and wishing you many decades of happy shooting with it. Smile

Colour adds a lot of context to the image and it becomes relatively obvious what is happening. IMHO, the monochromatic version is much more ambiguous and to me, much more interesting. Those folks could be just as easily checking out slot machines as peep-holes, I love the upper diagonal line that leads the eye through the image and brings it back to start again. Classic composition!

Very well done with your new 35mm , Colleen!
The mono for me this time , somehow the night looks more intensive in mono.

Excellent night shot, Colleen. Both versions work well, but think I'm going for the mono as my fave for its lovely tones 👍
