Lines leading to the end of the world. This is another cracker, dripping with atmosphere.

Super image of past human activity returning to nature, well developed negative.
I've just looked back at your other photos from Cymorthin, an excellent little series of a bleak and atmospheric place.

Thanks James, Peak Imaging develop the negative and scan it I use LR to make some adjustments.
Thank you for looking at them all, it's a cracking place and perhaps less photographed than some other Welsh quarry.

Where there once was life. Makes you wonder where they went and why. An excellent composed image.

Thank you Daisy, the collapse of the slate industry must have had a massive effect on the communities and life of North Wales, akin to the ending of coal in the 80's; they were amongst the biggest workplaces in the world at one point. My grandfather worked in one of the quarries on the north coast, but granite not slate, he died of silicosis.

I've got the full set of books from CM. Really good for my development in the days before EPZ existed...
