Dahlia Droplets

By pamelajean
I'm back! My new computer caused me endless problems, but I now feel that most of them have been resolved, so am up and running again.

To cheer me up, I bring you another view of my peachy dahlia, this time after the rain.
(1/110sec @ f6.4, ISO200, 17mm FL, 0.3step Ev, hand-held).

EDIT: I've re-worked the top left corner, hence V2. Only noticed it after upload. Cloned petals into space where background was showing, but was not happy with V1.

Pamela.

Magical. I like the fact that the droplets are all concentrated on the lower petals they give an impression of weight at the bottom of the frame.

I love this Dahlia too Pamela - looks to need a contrast boost for a little more impact from the droplets though.
Tried a mod - lightened the shadows slightly and boosted contrast.
Hope it looks OK at mod spec size.

Once you see something like that corner it can be so annoying until you fix it - most of us would not have noticed it. But attention to detail is important and V2 is a stunner with wonderful tones and colours throughout.

Hi Pamela
It takes some time to scroll down to find a spot for praising you for such an outstanding piece of work!
My wife Svetlana looked at this photo and said: "We need to put it into a frame and hang it onto the wall!"
She has never said that about my works :-(
Cheers
