John, just say "911" ... they all are really Smile

A lovely photo of a category that can be as beautiful as women, but doesn't nag you.

As I recall, it's a racing derivative, rather than a pure 911...

The back end can provide a deal of trouble. Especially in the wet, I'm told.

Obviously the seats can provide a deal of trouble too.

That wild, wayward streak of reflected light is fabulous!

Strange you only have to see a wheel arch to know it's a Porsche.

It looks like a later 911 going by the lines John.

Like one of your two-legged models, John - curves in all the right places.

Was always a Lotus man myself, but nice angle (reflections are always a pain).

No rear window is taking the stripped out for racing a bit far in Feb.

Man made curves will never compare to those bestowed upon women by nature of course, John.
However, some cars are regarded as being sexy in their design but, it depends on who happens to be sitting next to you in the passenger seat as to just how sexy they are. Wink

When my son was working for Sony Play station, he worked on a game called; The Porsche Challenge. He was allowed to borrow a fabulous Porsche for a whole weekend for his part in the making of the game. He came and took me for a spin in it. It certainly did turn heads but not as much as mine turns for a beautiful woman...Wink

Remembering the reputation that earlier 911s had on wet downhill bends, being taken 'for a spin' could have negative connotations...

You stick to forms and curves John Smile

Careful enquiry - I sent a text to the mate who was fettling things - indicates that it was a 930. That means that it was a 3-litre turbo, and one of less than 1,000 sold in the UK.

Not your usual curves but nevertheless still beautiful in its own way!

Dangerous curves?. I always thought the dangerous bits were the ones holding
the steering wheels. Beautifully taken John, as always.

It's a 1977 911 turbo, 3.3lt. That dark part surface in front of the back wheel gave it up. Is that being restored for you? I see the back screen missing...

What I like very much in this picture us the appearance of this vibrant blue colour, mainly in the steering wheel. It destroys the notion that this is a monochrome image and quite frankly, thank God it isn't.

I understand this was not shot under the optimal lighting conditions hence the choice of wide aperture. I would have attempted to focus on the car badge of the steering wheel but this is your take on this plump mean loud lady with the many admirers.
