This picture has sat on my hard drive for a while, but yesterday I printed it for a friend, Daniel's father. I was so impressed with it, I thought I'd upload it. You'll have to take my word for it, its's a lovely print.

I really like the expression on Daniel's face. Your use of focal has given you a really nice diffuse background also which compliments the image.
When I first looked it to some degree bothered me that the toy in front is not a bit sharper, but after considering, decided it would take too much attention from Daniel, who after all is the main subject!

Thanks Anne
In an ideal world, I wish the toy wasn't there at all. But I like the light and the smile, so i've had to put up with it.
I can't believe its only had 13 views!

I think you need to upload some of those adorable pets you have on your website - LOL - I can never figure out why some images get views and others not. Let's chalk it up to the fickleness of humans!!
Make it a great day.

Love that block of sharp focus that seems to start at the childs hand and ends right behind him I used to own the Canon 85mm f/1.2 and now I want to own one again after seeing what you have done here, the shots so full of life and vibrance excellently lit. The b*%"*% toy!!!!

About the toy.... Wink

You know, I don't mind it because the dof is perfect. It's just a part of his life at the time and I know it's bold and yellow and catches your eye all the time (!) but the fact is it's a lovely natural shot of Daniel.

CS5 - intelligent fill Smile
