beautiful striking image and great composition. I feel it just needed a tweak with curves in CS. I've added an example in modifications.

This is a very good shot Chloe.

Whether it too dark or not is really up to you, - what did you want to portray?

The title is Dark, - so in one sense its not dark enough perhaps?

Ive loaded 3 mods.

First is the original shot with a little less of a red tone, and the eyes are a little brighter.

Second is lighter, but with a closer crop.

Third is much darker. For me, - the darkest one is best, - make sure that whichever route you choose that the eys need to be sharp and not too dark.

I hope you find this helpful Chloe,

Regards

Willie

Chloe, I love the image youve posted. Ive added a couple of mods. My main suggestion to you, certainly with your self portraits is, concentrate on making your face the point of focus, with your lighting, especially your eyes theyre fab.

Keep up the good work Smile

Not too dark for me, either.

I don't think that it is too dark. Perhaps a little post-processing effect will add to the image, such as a Dragan effect. If you google 'Dragan Effect' there will be a few methods for you to try.
