Dawn at Glasson Dock

By geffers7
Dawn yesterday at Glasson Dock. The processing was easy as the colours and light were so good but I've allowed mods if anyone wants to have a go.
I left the boat a bit darker than I would normally as it went with the mood - pity about the ropes as well but I was ankle deep in mud at the time so it was difficult to get closer without spoiling the shot.

Your landscapes are always a delight to view, as this one is, Geoff. The light, colours and composition are all superb, and I cannot see how any mod could make any significant improvement.......seems perfect to me just as it is, and an mage I would have been so delighted with had it been my own.

I like the mod Wolfy although I liked the other boat there. I don't crop at all as a rule as its a discipline I want to get into - get it right in camera! I've played around with levels as well - what is your workflow for sharpening?
For me its sharpened slightly in Lightroom, then again with USM and of course Lightroom sharpens when you export for download.

Hi Geoff, glad u like it! Yeah the boat was ok, but the mast sticking up in the nice sky just seemed to distract me somewhat! I've found that for me its virtually impossible to get right in the camera, due to conditions, time etc, so minor processing in lightroom, including sharpening then elements for finishing off with levels, tidying up and selective USM of the image...
