Dawn from Signal Hill

By sherlob
16/52

Watching the sunrise from Signal Hill qualifies as a good start to any day. However, to watch the sea mist gradually roll in and cover Cape Town in a massive inversion was a particular treat (well this morning did coincide with my birthday Smile), and I could have spent all morning watching this. More images relating the inversion to come, but for the time being I wanted to post a typically iconic view of Table Mountain and Cape Town as my second belated 1/52 post.

I was tempted to correct the verticals on this image (I have come to dislike seeing leaning buildings caused by the lens distortion of super wide lenses), but in this case the correction just impacted on the composition too much so I've opted to leave them uncorrected; the lesser of two evils.

Have a great day,

Adam

The city is about to be enveloped by the mist. Very atmospheric, Adam.
