what a fine reflection of the trees and the morning mist. The other shore seems to float in the air.
Somehow out of this world and very special

The comp works with the grasses stopping your eye going out of frame with the water and helped by the draw of the strong central focal point of trees. Shame about the flat lighting but you have made it work well for you.

What a super image. If this is the only good day you had, well, I think you made up for the rest of the rainy days with this light and mist! Smile

I like the mist, and good fg interest too. I didn't have much luck with the weather in the Lake district recently either. Congrats on your HC.

A wind proof umbrella, now that's worth getting wet for.

A pleasing image despite the central position of the little hill. I might have put it just there myself, it's such a pretty wee hill for sure.

Many thanks indeed. Quite unexpected reception for this. Big thanks to Pete for the HC and to Keith for his prized UA - chuffed.
Yep, Mike it was a real washout with the exception of this particular morning when nature tried to help.

Very nicely done Alun. The skies reflection works nicely in to the composition and the detail is as usual beautifully rendered. Congrats on the HC.

I really wanted some decent shots of Elterwater when I was up there last year. That was a washout as well. look forward to seeing yours.
