A desolate place of shear beauty at times Ron. My Grandfather walked across it in the 1920/30's, when he and many like him were looking for work. He walked from Fochabers (Morayshire) to Glasgow and back again. I crossed it by train, from Fort William, after completing the 'West Highland Way' for the third time. They say that the remains of some walkers may still be found along the way on the Rannoch Moor from those terrible days.
