Almost certainly mad, Dougie, if only because of the "method in your madness"! This is a wonderful image, so simple yet rewarding every re-view with more detail of the sweeping, swooping lines, the frozen ripples and the distant horizon. If I were a landscaper I should wish to be so mad.

simple but beautiful
I dumped the image I was going to upload this morning and trawled my files to find this raw file, a quick process, not much to do except crop and correct the contrast. Happy result, thanks to all for the very kind comments this morning and all week.

Love the sense of the water sucking and surging. This really does need to be viewed large.
Totally barking, like a lot of us, but in a good cause. I tend to indulge my madness in warmer conditions and at a civilised hour of the day.

Well worth that early start Dougie - like the tones and your composition - first class.
