Day is Done

By technical_tim
This shot was taken from the patio of the converted barn we stayed in near Slingsby, North Yorkshire. The sun was setting behind the buildings and produced some great rays of light. The tractor trails in the corn lead the eye into the shot and were gone the next evening when the combine harvester had been put to work.

The scene is nice.

It looks a little too bright to me for a shot that includes the strong light in the sky. Overall impression is the buildings have been prioritized in the exposure, at the expense of the sky. Perhaps you would have been best to meter off the sky, and use these settings when the shot was recomposed, by taking advantage of the AE lock feature.

The result would look a little more like the mod Ive uploaded, - you have to view large, as it wont look good small.
