I love that rushing water.

Having seen the longer exposures it is interesting to see what the conditions were actually like. You have good light here in particular the way it is catching the tops of the breaking waves.

Beautiful light indeed, Derek, helping to strengthen a fine composition by accentuating the line of the pier.

I grew up by the ocean, have always loved the sound of the waves crashing on to shore.

The power of the incoming wave is beautifully shown here, but it's the light, that glorious light of morning that makes everything come alive. The glow of it hitting the side of the pier and the tops of waves that makes this image work so well. You certainly had a beautiful morning for these captures.

A very invigorating and uplifting composition. The movement and power of the ebb and flow is very well captured in the morning light…

I particularly like this one Derek, pleased you persevered with it. The golden light is gorgeous, especially on the tops of the waves!

That light is something else Derek. It makes what I imagine is a quite utilitarian structure look quite appealing.

Deal pier has a somewhat brutal appearance. Rumour is that it was designed by the same Architect who did the Berlin wall.!

Interesting to see the comparison between this and the tranquility of the long exposures. You've done so very well to capture this pier in the first place and blindingly well to have achieved this superb quality.
