I think I prefer this even more than the earlier colourful version. The limited palette enhances the greater visible detail on the pier and has a very unifying effect; it's a beautiful image!

The smooth waters the perfect foil for the delicate pier. Long exposures have a beauty all of their own when done properly.

I've always thought of this pier as being austere and somehow quite an eyesore on the coastline - your imagination and photographic skills have transformed this concrete pier into a thing of beauty…

Just picking up on the comments from Mike and Sarah. I have to agree that Deals pier should certainly fall into the 'brutalist' category of Architecture. That said I think it works with this sort of image ( The kind that isn't trying to look pretty )

A classic long exposure, expertly crafted. I love that you have the horizon just about in the centre of the image... Superb!

Any chance of a mono version?
