Debate For attaching Filter

Just look at 2 pics . Lead image taken without an UV filter, V1 with an UV glass attached. And V2 was taken without filter but at 2x digital magnification.

Hi prabhu, I too am using NEX 6 .....I think as a rule (since I also take alot of night shots), UV is not recommended for night photography, namely because:
1. there is little or no UV rays to filter;
2. any additional piece of glass over the lens is a degree of image downgrading .....due to filter unclean, quality of the filter glass, glass multi-coating, light reflection from the filter, haziness, etc.

They make excellent low light photography... Like Fred I do prefer the last image...
