Another photo taken yesterday at Worbarrow Bay during the Dorset Meet.

Deceptive as it looks like a summer's day - despite being "extremely" cold.

This is as taken - hand held with a polariser and warm up filter. I've just sharpened slightly for the upload.

Comments greatly appreciated, as always.

It was freezing c'c'colddd...i like the way the curve of the bay and the path follow into each other, though I would have waited for the shadow on the cliff to have cleared, so it was all in sunshine. Good to see a fence in this...

Thank you Miles. Now you know as well as I do that sitting around waiting for shadows to move was NOT an option yesterday! In an ideal (warm) world.....

Thanks again

Hi Debbie

Thought I recognised this shot! Still humming? Maybe not because of the chattering teeth...

I couldn't get over the way the sea reflected the blue of the sky so well. You've caught it beautifully, and I suspect with absolutely no manipulation. Nice image

Wonderful, wish my handheld shots turned out as steady as this! Love the use of the path and how it then leads you into sweeping arc of the beach and cliffs.

Debbie a lovely shot, love the reflections in the sea which is amzingly calm you obviously didn't have the horrible cold wind that we had up here.

Hi Debs, another good one...although I would have cropped out the first post. I hope you dont mind but I have had a go at altering your pic.

Hey guys, I am witness to the fact that Deb likes to hum and have to confess to telling her to 'shut up' many times Smile)

Nicely composed with the road acting as a good lead in. It does look a little flat, I've attempted to give a bit more punch.

Thank you all very much for the comments/clicks and modifications. The modifications certainly made me look at the photo in a different light - I chose to leave the path as it was because I felt it gave a nice long lead into the bay. Colourwise, I tried increasing the saturation and contrast but because the day had been so cold and bleak, I wanted it to reflect this. But, as I say, it certainly has given me food for thought.

Gordon, you really are too kind! Your comments and kind words are so gratefully received! Glad to hear you're having success with the "not smoking" - it's a tough battle but worth it in the end. If the gum helps then I only see it as a good thing. I'll worry about giving up the gum another day.

Thanks again to everyone for taking the time out for me.

I think this is your best yet Debbie. I like the lead in to the picture created by the pathway and the beautiful curve of the bay. The tiny figure is a great feature as it gives a real sense of scale. Lovely work. click

Thank you. Jouko, I'm sure to you it would have felt positively summer-like, to us it was real winter weather.

Joan, you're very kind. I can see a slow improvement in my photos all the time and I'm grateful for everyone's kind words.
