Deconstruction II

By chase
Another from my deconstructed enlarger set.
Colour this time but the basic set up is very similar, moving stuff around would have resulted in a major collapse ! Wink

Lit by on small handheld LED.
An HDR image, 3 frames, each 1 stop apart, combined in Lightroom, finished in Photoshop with a few minor tweaks.

Thanks for calling in.
Constructive critique and mods welcome.
Be good, stay safe.

I think I prefer the first image, but this one grows on you, and the spider web is a lovely touch!

Wonderful detail and nice subdued lighting, Janet.SmileSmile

Gunmetal grey hammered finish paint, wow! Wouldn’t have expected that from the first image. Makes a very strong statement, nice to see the lens too. Most unusual and creative image Janet.

Good one this too!
But I think I like it a bit more in mono.

I think moving the lens, adding the negative carrier and the cobweb (my word! Your resident spiders weave fast!) are all positive changes. I think I slightly prefer monochrome, though...

Thanks all.
I must admit to liking the B&W version a little more but, not by much.

A great set piece Janet - I do like the inclusion of the spiders web.

A fine follow-up to your previous, Janet, can't make my mind up which of the two I prefer! 😃👍

Another superb arrangement for your enlarger set.
I do like the cool feel with more emphasis on the cobweb in John's mod.

Thanks everyone.
Looks good in mono John, the reason I left this in colour was to show off the little red thing on the right.

Ahhh... the red filter. An important part of enlarging then (you tended to leave the lamp on all the time, and move the filter out of the way to make the exposure). The modern way is to switch the lamp on and off, for various reasons.

Just that little touch of colour: once again, I've been suckered by knowing what it's for and how to use it (before deconstruction). In which it differs from colour spaces!
