Deep Waters

By Owdman
This view of Crummock Water was taken this Saturday evening, July 24th, my wife and I had strolled down to the lake, which had a small number of people sat admiring the view and half a dozen young lads who were swimming and paddling about in canoes. Unknown to us at the time was the fact that there had been a drowning in the lake on the 16th July and the body only just recovered on the 24th. Deep water is often unexpectedly cold and it's been sad to see the number of drownings during the hot weather.

Sad to hear that people don't heed the warnings about swimming in these lakes 😬 A lovely panoramic capture here, Norm, just the place to go in this hot sunny weather 😃👍
