Lovely rendering of a fallow deer in its summer coat. Next time you could try using a wider aperture (or a longer lens) to throw the background out od focus. Also try to leave a little more space around the animal and if possible select an angle so that the subject is looking into the picture.

Agree with Mick, you have enough space behind but need twice as much in front , also saturation needs just a slight increase to give it some punch.
Have a look at mine to see the differences
A nice clear and sharp focus on the eye. I would leave a little more in front of the deer showing where its walking to.

this has marvelous detail, and would agree that it does need more room at the front, superb shot...

Great shot, you can cut out a piece of card to make a frame, and hold it up to the screen to see what it looks like before you crop.
Its a very good shot
