Derwentwater

By mrswoolybill
Centenary Stones, in Calfclose bay on Derwentwater. The work, by Peter Randall-Page, was installed to mark the centenary of the National Trust in 1995.
My options here were limited by the fact that a kayaking class was going on immediately to my left and I really didn't want to interrupt them.
Thanks for looking,
Moira

I'm not getting anything from the link, Leo. But for me this is certainly about the idea of cutting open a rock and finding something totally unexpected.
Thanks early birds!

I like the piece of art - but you have taken it up a level with the processing.

What a lovely piece of artwork that doesn't interrupt the natural beauty and will just become part of the landscape.

A lovely piece of sculpture, in beautiful surroundings - a tree cross-section in stone!
